Over the Irish Sea
When I was one, I had just begun,
The day I went to sea,
I jumped aboard a pirate ship and the captain said to me,
We’re going this way, that way, forward backwards,
Over the Irish Sea,
A bottle of Rum to warm my Tum,
And that’s the life for me.
When I was two, I did a poo . . .
When I was three, I did a wee . . .
When I was four, I shut the door . . .
When I was five, I was still alive . . .
When I was six, I gathered sticks . . .
When I was seven, I was almost in heaven . . .
When I was eight, I closed the gate . . .
When I was nine, I was feeling fine . . .
When I was ten, I started over again . . .
Suggested motions:
"...jumped aboard..." {climb up}
"...the captain said..." {give salute}
"We’re going..." {junp; first left, right, forward, and back}
"...over the Irish Sea." {make waves with hand}
"...bottle of rum..." {as if drinking}
"...to warm my tum..." {rub tummy}
"...that’s the life for me..." {slap knee and raise hand}
Princess Pat
Chorus: "A Ric-a-dam-doo, pray what is that?
It was made at home by the Princess Pat,
It's red and gold, and purple-blue
That's what we call The Ric-a-dam-doo, dam-doo, dam-doo"
The Song: The Princess Pat (Egyptian hand movement & hips)
Lived in a tree (Arms up over heads, making a tree bow)
She sailed across (wave hands over water)

the Channel too (thumb and finger channel, two fingers)
and took with her (sling bag over shoulder)
a rickabamboo (hands wave down move hips)
(chorus)
A rickabamboo (hands wave down)
Now what is that
Its something made
For the Princess Pat (repeat Egyptian move)
Its red and gold (hand on right hip)
and purple too (hand on left hip)
That's why its called
a rickabamboo (repeat motion)
(chorus)
Now Captain Dan (stand at Alert)
and loyal crew (salute)
They sailed across the channel too (as above)
but their ship sank (hold noses and move body down)
and your's will too (point out and finger two)
if you don't take (sling bag over shoulder)
a rickabamboo (hands wave down)
The song and the music is the song of the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry.
Princess Patricia of Cannaught was the daughter of a Governor General of Canada 1911-1914 and a granddaughter

Coming of the Frogs
Mine eyes have seen the horror
of the coming of the frogs
They are sneaking through the swamps
they are lurking under logs
You can hear their mournful croaking
through the early morning fog
The frogs keep hopping on
Ribbit, ribbit, ribbit, croak, croak
Ribbit, ribbit, ribbit, croak, croak
Ribbit, ribbit, ribbit, croak, croak
The frogs keep hopping on
The frogs have grown in numbers
and their croaking fills the air
There's no place to escape to
'cause the frogs are everywhere
They've eaten all the flies
and now they're hungry as a bear
The frogs keep hopping on Chorus
I used to like the bullfrogs
like to feel their slimy skin
Liked to put them in my teacher's desk
and take them home again
You can hear their mournful croaking
through the early morning fog
The frogs keep hopping on Chorus

The Wind-up song
Once a Pack of Cub Scouts camped on an open field
Under the shade of an old oak tree
And the said as they watched and waited till the sun went down
"Who'll come and wind up Akela with me"
Chorus
Wind up Akela, Wind up Akela,
"Who'll come and wind up Akela with me"
And they said as they watched and waited till the sun went down
"Who'll come and wind up Akela with me"
Chorus
Down came Bagheera, bringing cups of orange squash
Up jumped the Cubs and grabbed them with glee
And they said as they drank and mumbled through the biscuit crumbs
"Who'll come and wind up Akela with me"
Chorus
Down came Kim and Kaa to see that the Cubs were washed
Down came Akela to oversee
And they said as they all got busy with the scrubbing brush
"Who'll come and wind up Akela with me"
Chorus
In went the Cubs all tucked into their sleeping-bags
Up spoke the youngest "I want to do a wee"
And they said as they argued whose turn it would be next
"Who'll come and wind up Akela with me"
Chorus
Up strode Akela, bringing back the youngest Cub
"You'd better watch your step" said he
"For I've heard you saying, ever since this afternoon
Who'll come and wind up Akela with me"
Chorus
Silence descended all across the camping-ground
All the tents were quiet, one, two, three
Save a little voice, which murmured as he went to sleep
"Who'll come and wind up Akela with me" Chorus
