As many know, getting these salmon cds duplicated was full of problems, mostly due to people I have worked with in the past being unavailable. So I switched to CD Baby for the second cd in the set. It was a learning curve, but I have gotten good enough that I can do more. Where I totally fell through the cracks before was templates, artwork, etc. Either it is a new feature, or else I just discovered it, but they have something called online design and you can bypass the other templates they give you which require photoshop, etc. I get so far in photoshop, which is barely out the starting gate, and crumble. So the online design feature is wonderful...all I ever wanted was very simple designs..some words on top of pretty pictures, and I think I have accomplished it...I found the process of doing designs long-distance with someone to be absolutely awful and very expensive besides..plus you have to wait a day or so to see the slightest changes you want made..so this way you can sit there and twiddle to your heart's content. I did not follow their rules, at my risk and peril, about the dpi and other features of the photos I used, which were public domain and ones I took. Things seem to look OK though..I looked for the highest resolution pictures i could find, but there did not seem to be a correlation between resolution and how they looked on the screen..some would be obviously pixilated or fuzzy and some with lower res. would look great.

They are very supportive, but we had a hard time communicating..I would ask a question and they would send the templates to me again..this was before online editing was found. So I do recommend them..I think they are reasonably priced and supportive. Downside is not really understanding what the naive customer wants, and working with their art team was not good...what they gave me originally was so far off the mark there was just no way I could use it. So find your own pictures and use online editing..it will be much easier once I have done one and then do the next one in the works, which is a redo of the first of the two cd set.

My wife does the graphics for our CD's and also found dealing with duplicators art departments frustrating. She wound up using photoshop and Word for everything. I'm not sure how she does it. When explaining things she ceases speaking normal English and I don't understand the terminology, but the results are great.
