Has anyone got the new Microsoft Surface Pro 4?

I first heard of tablet computers 10 or 12 years ago, now, and was intrigued by the concept. When the first ones came out - the i-Pad etc. - they just appeared to be 'toys' for the consumption of media - whereas I wanted a 'full-fat computer'. Eventually MS's Surface Pro appeared and I bought one. I was very pleased with it - apart from the execrable battery life. When generation 3 appeared I also bought a SP2 because it was available at a discount - it was OK but not a huge improvement on SP1. I've still got both of them and I've realised that they make nice, chunky little computers. They are marketed as "the tablet which can replace your laptop" but when used in conjunction with a dock they can 'replace your desktop' - in fact, because of the poor battery life, they are much more useful in that role. Since I bought them I've updated their operating systems to Win 10 with few problems.

Earlier this year, generation 4 was announced and I decided to buy one, when they became available in the UK. The weekend before last I finally acquired one. It came pre-loaded with Win 10.
It's the model with the i5 processor (Skylake), 8Gb of RAM and a 256 Gb SSD. My first experience with it is that, compared with my SP1 and SP2, it has been a 'pig' to set-up! On switching it on, for the first time, it demanded a "Network Key". I had no idea what a Network Key was or where to find mine! After half an hour of fruitless searching, I entered, what I thought might be a relevant password, and it booted up! Why not ask for a f***ing password!! Since then I've had problems with the Mail app - which turned out to be my own stupid fault because I'd forgotten that I had recently changed my e-mail password (f***ing passwords) - connecting to WiFi, installing up-dates (some of which appear to make things worse!) and a few other bits and bobs. I've eventually found work-arounds for all of these problems - but I shouldn't have to for an expensive consumer device. Be warned!
