Subject: Do Not Sell At Any Price; Excellent Book From: Sean Belt Date: 31 Aug 15 - 02:20 PM Just finished reading Do Not Sell At Any Price by Amanda Petrusich. Excellent book on old 78 recordings and what people go through to collect them. Tons of information on Paramount and other labels specializing in hillbilly, race records and other ethnic types of music from the early 20th century. I loved it and can't recommend it highly enough for people interested in folk music and those old 78's. |

Knowing one or two of the people involved (but not personally) and having been been part of the 78 blues and Old Time Music disc collecting fraternity I found it very entertaining. |
