Subject: Folk Music, South London From: Raggytash Date: 27 May 15 - 07:18 AM Last night at our session at the Elsinore in Whitby I was approached by a chap from South London who told me he had really enjoyed the night as he never heard any folk in South London. I said that I thought there would be plenty and I would endeavour to find out where. So over to you guys where can he find folk in South London. Names of venues and nights would be appreciated. |

Subject: RE: Folk Music, South London From: Richard Bridge Date: 27 May 15 - 09:54 AM The three Orpington things (one is "Folk and Blues"), Woodsie's events near Blackheath, I think there's still a diddly and humpty session in Greenwich, there used to be more diddly and humpty and eurotunes in Southwark, there is some stuff at Ruskin House in Croydon and a strange place for wannabee cowboys in South Croydon. Then there is the Eltham stuff, at the Rugby club and in Foots Cray. |
