Subject: BS: Modern toddlers From: olddude Date: 07 Mar 15 - 07:42 PM How things have changed since I was a kid. I called my daughter with face time on my phone . My two year old granddaughter picked her mom's phone up answered my skipe and took me on an adventure. First I saw lots of ceilings, then a rug close up. One image of the little mouth chewing the phone, next a dogs butt. Then I spent some time inside a toy box. All the time hearing nanayaya popa hi hi. Watching handy manny was good also. Then mom came and spoiled it for us Lol |

Subject: RE: BS: Modern toddlers From: Sandra in Sydney Date: 07 Mar 15 - 09:00 PM a wonderful pop & grandchild encounter. My friends have grandchildren in England & always Skype a good night song. I have a 2 yr old friend who loves my (big) camera & is always trying to move the pics as she does on her parents phones & her own kid's device (dunno what you call it) but she also loves books & drawing. I don't see her all that often as she lives in a small country town where the whole town helps raising her & her 7 year old sister - just like in the Good Old Days. Electronically connected kids in a old-fashioned country town. sandra |

Subject: RE: BS: Modern toddlers From: Musket Date: 08 Mar 15 - 03:47 AM On a related subject. My two year old Granddaughter is beginning to talk. Over the last two weeks in fact. I am staying over this weekend. When I went to the bathroom only 30 mins ago (it's still early morning) I heard a little voice shout Granddad! as clear as anything from the nursery. I'm the happiest bloke around right now. In fact after breakfast I will be the happiest bloke watching Peppa Pig on the telly whilst finding a gruffalo book to read together afterwards. |

Subject: RE: BS: Modern toddlers From: Will Fly Date: 08 Mar 15 - 12:54 PM My grandkids (boys) are 7 and 5 now - and getting more sophisticated and worldly every time I see them. They play Super Mario on their Wii - a Christmas present - and leave Grandad standing! I'm lucky enough to live close to them - close enough for sitting duties and an afternoon school run once or twice a week - so we see each other a lot. Wonderful. And they get a new sister in 6 weeks time... Back to the nappies, crap, vomit and crying - yeah! |

Subject: RE: BS: Modern toddlers From: Mrrzy Date: 08 Mar 15 - 01:46 PM Cell phones were the best way for me to check on my X2B way back when the twins were small... X2B would buttcall me and I could listen to the abuse. Such useful, so technology, wow. |
