Subject: BS: What´s up Skarpi Iceland From: skarpi Date: 27 Oct 14 - 05:47 PM As you have seen I have not been as much I once was , but that does not mean I am not following you and the treads that people are putting out here on Mudcat , as many of you know the world crisis in 2008 got me and many more , a big problems . For three years I have been working hard to pay back my debts and now on 1 st of November I will be finishing off 85 % of it , that means I have more money between my hands every months and live is getting better again , but there is still out side problems as for Iceland´s debt , and our national Hospital is out of doctors because they want more money for their work that they won´t have here , so they all leave Iceland ..to the other Nordic country´s Don´t believe what you hear in the news about Iceland economy , Iceland is bankrupt , there is no way we can pay the debts . And they are all telling you that the bankers are in jail ? what a crapp ...no one is in jail , and they are not going to be there , As for me , I have not been well this took a lot energy and have played my life bad :/ ..but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel ...and I am almost there , I have been once so I should know :) . So am I playing music , yes I am , and I am writing lyrics and music as well , Is Skarpi coming to the Getaway , ? well if my health and my money saving goes as planned , yes I am ..next year are ten years since last time . will I bring some one with me , that is the plan . So until I know more , all the best Skarpi Iceland . |

Yes I heard about the eruption in Hawaii ..not good , The world crisis has not arrived yet , it will be there , last one was just a practice ... all the best to you all , I am off to see the light at the end of the tunnel ....have a great day . I don't usually shop in Tesco since they stopped stocking most Irish brands. But I was eager to eat Skyr, partly because I have a nationalistic suspicion that it might have originally been brought to Iceland by one of the Irish women kidnapped by our Icelandic friends back in the day. Haven't tasted it yet; if I like it I hope to make my own. (Scandinavians brought their own yogurts, such as viilli, across America dried into pieces of linen; my assumption is that some about-to-be-kidnapped Irish woman similarly persuaded her rapists to wait while she picked up a few valuables to bring with her, including her kneading-trough, her hens and her yogurt starter.) |

Worked hard most of the year who does not ? ehh went to some hiking´s in the mountains here in the East of Iceland , played in five festivals on my own , and one in the Capital with my dear friend Rosa in a Irish drunken rabbit pub ...:) .We got a Grandchild number two , but it´s always strange that when a newborn come into this world , another one goes , in December my Mother left this world after being sick for about two years , and loosing someone around Christmas time is Difficult , so on the new year coming there are things I am longing for to do , and I am going to do them , for about a year and a half I have been learning how play the Electrical guitar better and improve my fingers , I hope this will help me also in the Folk music as well , Country , Blues , Rock , Funk ...and some Hot metal along with the Celtic tunes on the guitar , so more later on .
