Subject: Tech: Windows Media Player burning incorrectly From: GUEST,George Frampton Date: 08 Sep 14 - 03:12 PM Windows Media Player is no longer burning mp3 files onto CD-R on my laptop. Ripped files only burn to mp3 format. How can I configure (?) these so I can produce CD-Rs that play on a standard Midi system. I need this facility as I'm trying to convert my audio archive into mp3 format and CD-Rs. Can anyone help me? |

Subject: RE: Tech: Windows Media Player burning incorrectly From: Jack Campin Date: 08 Sep 14 - 04:36 PM In iTunes (at least, the version I use) the setting to do that is under Preferences>Burning (you select Audio CD format). I'd guess WMP has similar controls? |

Subject: RE: Tech: Windows Media Player burning incorrectly From: wassail Date: 08 Sep 14 - 07:29 PM I had the same problem, and found that Media Player had reset itself to "Burn Data Disc". Change this to "Audio Disc" and all is well. |

Subject: RE: Tech: Windows Media Player burning incorrectly From: eddie1 Date: 09 Sep 14 - 03:29 AM I have never found Windows Media Player much good! Try this: Media Monkey I have found the free version does everything I need. Their full website is going through "planned maintenance" at the moment so this is their backup site. Eddie |

Subject: RE: Tech: Windows Media Player burning incorrectly From: GUEST,Stephen Allberry Date: 10 Sep 14 - 12:56 PM Forgive my butting into this thread, but I have just received from the Vaughan Williams Library an article from ED&S by George E. Frampton on Clive Carey, Dorothy Marshall and the West Sussex tradition. I hope you are that George Frampton. Since the on-line publication of the library's collections I have been looking at the collection of songs and dances in this corner of Sussex. If you are the author I would like to make contact Stephen Allberry Rogate |

Subject: RE: Tech: Windows Media Player burning incorrectly From: Bill D Date: 10 Sep 14 - 07:17 PM Media Monkey is a fine program, although there are stand-alone burning programs (such as BurnAware) that concentrate on one task. See this comparison for ideas. |
