Subject: Review: Joan Baez in Concert (2014) From: voyager Date: 11 Jul 14 - 02:30 PM I own no CDs/albums by Joan Baez and have not seen her in concert for decades. That said, I was 'blown away' by her performance here in Denver on the 2014 tour. Her current setlist is given here plus a view of her performances over her music career. Joan Baez Setlists (50 years) Her version of 'Jerusalem' (Steve Earle) should be played thru the music stations of the world. Gracias a la vida (Joan Baez) voyager |

Subject: RE: Review: Joan Baez in Concert (2014) From: PHJim Date: 12 Jul 14 - 01:30 AM About a quarter century ago, I was watching Ed McCurdy and Jamie Snider playing on the main stage at MARIPOSA. When Ed started to sing Last Night I Had The Strangest Dream, Joan came out and walked up behind them. They were sitting on chairs facing the audience and didn't see her till she started singing a harmony. Later that summer Ed played a festival in Cobourg and I had the job of taxiing him around. When I mentioned that incident, he said that it was one of the highlights of his career. He had had a crush on her since the first time he saw her perform. |
