Subject: Help- Need interviews about an NYC club. From: GUEST,Olivia Ritchie Date: 22 Feb 14 - 03:19 PM I'm currently a sophomore journalism major at NYU, and my most recent assignment is a piece about The Bitter End, a folk music club in New York City's Greenwich Village. Part of the story will compare the club at its inception to how it is today by just about any criteria: events, performers, music scene, patrons, vibe, etc. I was wondering if anyone on this forum went to the club back in the 60's or 70's, or knew of anyone who attended it (regularly or just once, it doesn't matter), or if anyone has the contact info of someone who performed at the club at that time. If anyone has any information that they believe might be helpful, feel free to respond to this thread, or e-mail me at obr209@nyu.edu My story is due March 4th, 2014, so the sooner the better. He's a commercial tour guide who specializes in GV, Ellis Island, The Statue of Liberty and a couple of other areas. I'll out this thread to him. I think he can at least point you in the right direction - he has participated in a couple of documentaries filmed about the area. SRS |
