I've just heard the very sad news that our dear old friend "Mac" McConnell of the Miskin Arms has left us.
Without him the Miskin festivals would never have been possible. From his earliest days Mac and Di supported the local folk scene and were always a stop on any Morris tours of the area. Through this and of course the festival weekends, both Mac and Di made many friends.I am sure I speak for many when I wish Di my deepest sympathy.
