Subject: BS: State of the Union 2015 From: Jack the Sailor Date: 30 Jan 14 - 01:23 AM Apparently whoever posts a title about a news item first gets to set the tone. I predict that President Obama will give a speech a year from now and Republicans and at least one member of this forum will have something snotty to say to try and pick a fight over it. |

Subject: RE: BS: State of the Union 2015 From: Joe Offer Date: 30 Jan 14 - 01:29 AM One State of the Union thread was enough, Jack. It offers you the opportunity to say whatever you might like to say on the subject. This one is crap - but I thought you maybe you hadn't noticed that there was already a thread on the State of the Union when you started your first duplicate. It isn't worth the effort to combine this thread with the first one, like I did with the first duplicate you started. -Joe Offer- |

Subject: RE: BS: State of the Union 2015 From: Jack the Sailor Date: 30 Jan 14 - 02:51 AM Joe, This one says 2015. I beg to differ about there being a thread about the 2014 speech. There is a thread title where the President is referred to by his last name only, which is rude, with a title that refers to this year's speech which is set up to be a bickerfest with songwronger. It is one of a series of threads by the same person with different titles set up for that person to bicker about President Obama, I can't bring up a John Stewart article about the state of the union on that thread because the theme of that thread is "songwronger hates 'Obama'". When most people see that a thread is started by Songwronger, they ignore the thread. You say "One State of the Union thread was enough" I say "one songwronger hates Obama" thread is enough. Shouldn't all the bickering about songwronger's feelings for the President be archived in one convenient place for the pleasure and study of future generations. |
