Subject: Sound Engineer's Nightmare! From: Acorn4 Date: 17 Nov 13 - 08:29 AM This is a recording session by Peter Andre and Katie Price before "autotune" was applied. In spite of not being in possession of large amounts of grey matter, at least our Pete can hold a tune, but just wait until the missus joins in:- Peter Andre/Katie Price raw recording. Not sure if this belongs under "music" - please shunt below the line if you feel it's needed! |

Subject: RE: Sound Engineer's Nightmare! From: Van Date: 17 Nov 13 - 11:54 AM Hard to avoid if you don't live in a nuclear bunker |

Subject: RE: Sound Engineer's Nightmare! From: Leadfingers Date: 17 Nov 13 - 12:04 PM A Sound Engineers nightmare is getting a decent mix for an elderly muso with tinnitus ! |

Subject: RE: Sound Engineer's Nightmare! From: Richard Bridge Date: 17 Nov 13 - 12:11 PM Oh dear. |

Subject: RE: Sound Engineer's Nightmare! From: Sandy Mc Lean Date: 17 Nov 13 - 12:13 PM Not sure about the bunker, Van, but I don't listen to, or watch most of the crap on radio and TV and hardly ever go to movies. However, when I think deeper about it my entertainment comes from singing and listening to country and folk music from the 50's and 60's. I suppose that being the era of the nuclear bunker the analogy fits me well! :-} |

Subject: RE: Sound Engineer's Nightmare! From: GUEST Date: 17 Nov 13 - 01:00 PM Good Jesus, I stopped listening when she let go at about 1:43. I'm surprised no one called the RSPCA to report people strangling cats. |

Subject: RE: Sound Engineer's Nightmare! From: Jeri Date: 17 Nov 13 - 01:10 PM I've never heard of them, thank goodness. |

Subject: RE: Sound Engineer's Nightmare! From: Richard Bridge Date: 17 Nov 13 - 03:10 PM Oh, c'mon - her former professional name from her life as topless model - Jordan. And her notes wobble more than the bits (rhyming slang, see) that made her name in the first place. |

Subject: RE: Sound Engineer's Nightmare! From: Jeri Date: 17 Nov 13 - 03:47 PM Apparently, it's not just the avian tits that the UK doesn't share with the US. Or maybe it's just that I don't look at as many skin mags as you, Richard. |

Subject: RE: Sound Engineer's Nightmare! From: Jack Campin Date: 17 Nov 13 - 08:40 PM Some people can't carry a tune in two buckets. |

Subject: RE: Sound Engineer's Nightmare! From: SteveMansfield Date: 18 Nov 13 - 01:53 AM For those who want more punishment in a similar vein, check out Barry Manilow on the UK BBC1 Children In Need Rocks concert (it will be on iPlayer). The vocal Manilow perpetrated on his version of Copacabana that night was truly, er, special ... Those who live outside the UK should be grateful in this instance that you can't access the iPlayer, just in case you accidentally hear the song! |

Subject: RE: Sound Engineer's Nightmare! From: GUEST Date: 18 Nov 13 - 02:18 AM She couldn't hold a pitch if it was handed to her in a pitcher. |

Subject: RE: Sound Engineer's Nightmare! From: Dave Hanson Date: 18 Nov 13 - 03:34 AM What do people expect from a woman who's main claim to fame was having her tit's enlarged. Dave H |

Subject: RE: Sound Engineer's Nightmare! From: GUEST,Ray Date: 18 Nov 13 - 04:37 AM She also stood as a prospective MP for a seat on the outskirts of Manchester. Apart from that, are we sure that the engineer hasn't done the old trick of putting the foldback through a harmoniser? |

Subject: RE: Sound Engineer's Nightmare! From: GUEST Date: 18 Nov 13 - 07:56 AM 'She also stood as a prospective MP for a seat on the outskirts of Manchester.' I don't see how she can stand, either. |

Subject: RE: Sound Engineer's Nightmare! From: GUEST,Ray Date: 18 Nov 13 - 12:54 PM You don't believe me? !!!! |

Subject: RE: Sound Engineer's Nightmare! From: GUEST,anonymous Date: 18 Nov 13 - 01:21 PM Is that all you can do musically, Acorn4? Get hold of a rough draft of somebody's first attempt at recording, leak it, and sneer? There are better things to do here at the Mudcat. Sing, play an instrument, compose, listen, provide chords, or even argue till dawn about Origins. |

Subject: RE: Sound Engineer's Nightmare! From: Richard Bridge Date: 18 Nov 13 - 01:40 PM FFS, Guest, anonymous - it's on Youtube. Not much of a leak. |

Subject: RE: Sound Engineer's Nightmare! From: Acorn4 Date: 18 Nov 13 - 02:01 PM Anon, I could become a genius with the wonders of autotune - here is the finished article, which presumably started off as the original posting:- Peter and Katie autotuned. |

Subject: RE: Sound Engineer's Nightmare! From: Will Fly Date: 18 Nov 13 - 03:25 PM Ironically, the joke's on us. "Jordan"'s worth around £45 million and has, with the help of money earned by showing her tits in the tabloid press: "written" books; made records; done reality TV; created lines of clothing, cosmetics, etc. Which all goes to show that money breeds money breeds money - when you got it, you can get it... |
