Subject: Tech: Wanted: Used tenor banjo case UK From: Les in Chorlton Date: 07 Nov 13 - 11:35 AM I am looking for a used hard tenor banjo case. My Framus is about 14.5 inches across the resornator and around 36 inches long. I have tried e-bay to no avail. Anybody got one or a suggestion of where to look? |

Subject: RE: Tech: Wanted: Used tenor banjo case UK From: Les in Chorlton Date: 08 Nov 13 - 04:12 AM "The Music Room in Cleckheaton " - extremely helpful - no used cases but a new bazooki case might be the answer from them |

Subject: RE: Tech: Wanted: Used tenor banjo case UK From: banjoman Date: 09 Nov 13 - 08:21 AM Try Andy Perkins - he usually has loads of cases he wants to get rid of. Most of my banjos are in cases I bought from him. Online -andybanjo |

Subject: RE: Tech: Wanted: Used tenor banjo case UK From: JohnInKansas Date: 09 Nov 13 - 10:52 PM When my kid showed up with one a few years ago, he decided he didn't want to work with it so he gave it to me for a birthday present. Of course there was no case. It took about a day and a half to make one (heat bent curved sides, but the rest was mostly flat. Another day to put some fitted padding inside, and about three days to dry the paint and decoupage the naked ladies on the outside "for identification purposes." The only problem was that not having the materials I would have preferred, the case turned out to be even somewhat heavier than the banjo, and if I put the banjo in the case I had difficulty lifting them both at the same time. (Really wish he'd showed up with it a few years earlier, when I was a little more robust.) John |
