Subject: BS: More PRS Minefield From: SPB-Cooperator Date: 16 Oct 13 - 11:07 AM I've put this below the line as it is not related to folk music. One of my clients has received a letter from PRS encouraging them to register in case they happen to play CDs in the office or have a radio on, etc etc. As far as I am aware, they do not do this, but they do hire out premises to other organisations of which, one is a church - which has hymns etc, and another is a guitar tuition project. In addition there is a film club, but that is covered by an MPCL licence. So, where does my client stand? Also, does a PRS licence cover a whole organisation, or only one location? |

Subject: RE: BS: More PRS Minefield From: Rapparee Date: 16 Oct 13 - 11:11 AM Sounds like a load of balderdash to me. But then, I'm in the States and we live in a state of perpetual anarchy. Is this PRS going to send investigators around to every office or work space in the country? |

Subject: RE: BS: More PRS Minefield From: Pete Jennings Date: 16 Oct 13 - 12:40 PM Mmmm...my instinct is to say bin it, but maybe Richard will pop in with some wiser words. In the meantime do nothing. |
