Subject: Achilles tendon From: GUEST,Spailpin Date: 03 Aug 13 - 06:41 PM Propped up in bed, cast to my knee ... Feeling sore and in terrible pain , pain killers , blood thinners , anti this and that , a little red wine ...almost a week now , tripped on elongated straps from my banjo case on my way into pub gig ..been meaning to tidy them up for seven odd years , severed my Achilles' tendon , surgery and the rest is history ....but for the last week I've been really enjoying years of threads on mudcafe ... And look forward to the early morning click to see what's been happening !!! Nite all .. |

Subject: RE: Achilles tendon From: JHW Date: 04 Aug 13 - 05:31 AM My partner insisted we dance Swedish Masquerade, one I usually sit out but up we got and first lope tore the AT. Got better but over a couple of years half went again several times. I'm sure you will but when hopefully mended do do the physio. Unknown to me the healing of the AT tightened against my Plantar Fascia (where it fastens under the heel) so that was very sore at times and needed AT stretches. Best wishes and hope you find comfort and amusement on Mudcat. Costs nowt to join! |
