Subject: Folklore: Devon - Dave Wood, Can anyone help me From: GUEST,briggfoot Date: 23 Jun 13 - 07:15 PM Evening guys & gals, Well I was at Teignmouth folk festival this weekend which was awesome! And between 2 acts, the sound crew were playing a few tracks by an Exeter guy by the name of 'Dave Wood.' Apparently he's quite a hard character to track down, and doesn't play in publicall that often, but the music blew me away, and I'd be so kean to get hold of some of his music to listen to on loop. Could anyone help me? I don't know if the CD of his music was ever for sale, or if someone has any recordings of his music that I could put on to my lap-top? I'm near Exeter and travel all around Devon a lot. Any help GREATLY appreciated. |

I've seen Dave there sometimes and one of the regulars may be able to help you more. Dave is a local and drops in to various clubs and sessions. Breezy, I think i've seen the guy you describe playing in Padstow harbour a few years back!!! Guest,BB, will try and get to Combe Martin during my time off in July, I love that area of coast-line and have had some good paddling/fishing in my kayak from Watermouth. That's given me some clues to track, and those couple of tracks a few people have posted links to will keep us occupied in the mean-time. Cheers b |
