Subject: BS: The New Neighbors... From: Bobert Date: 30 May 13 - 07:31 PM Ya' see, we have neighbors who own a horse farm that we have to drive thru to get to our house behind that farm... Seems that our old neighbors have sold their farm and we have new neighbors coming in from Colorado who are also horse people and will be bringing their horses all the way from Colorado... I've met the husband who seems to be a nice ol' country boy... He told me that his wife is into barrel racing??? Well, I ain't gotta a lot of cowboy in me but I guess that's rodeo stuff, ain't it... So he's telling me about it and mentions his wife's name is Cody... I was thinking, "I know that"... LOL... Anyway, the new neighbors and horses will be here today, tomorrow or the next day... Will be interesting... Oh, my job is keeping the barn cat fed but she's in hiding now since everything has gotten moved out in the last week, including the old neighbors horses... I'll miss one of their horses, Diamond, who was sweet as she could be... The others were mean and won't be missed... B~ |

I mean, when I was like 14 I had this Saturday job at a riding stables hosing down horse, saddlin' them up and putting kids on 'um... Since then, all I have done is be friends with 'um... Most of 'um okay... All of 'um okay if you have carrots... That's the extent of my horse sense... B~ |

When we moved here into this little village, our neighbours turned out to be real country people with tractors, cutters, trailers etc parked outside their little house. I was a bit wary at first, but they are now very dear friends and extremely funny. Their Norfolk accent and earthy sense of humour crease us up. We help eachother all the time and we love them dearly. I hope you too grow to be very fond of your new neighbours. |

Guess we'll know soon enough... Not sure when they will be arriving but I expect no later than Monday... Not even sure if they are bringing their youngest daughter (18) or how many horses... I did go over and mowed their side of the drive way so it would look cheerful for them whenever they do show up... B~ |
