Subject: RE: BS: Sometimes I wonder who... From: Dave the Gnome Date: 05 Apr 13 - 09:34 AM Many years ago in Peru an enterprising young man made a good living selling Llamas. He had been to the USA and seen the power of marketing so he called his shop the Llama Rama and it really caught on. Unfortunately this was in the 1950s and the automobile revolution was just about to hit with the inevitable conclusion that the venture failed. The shop became many things after that but the favourite was a Chinese takeaway that did a wonderful line in bamboo shoot dishes and mouth-watering lamb. People began to come from miles around and their visitors included many of the Rock and Rollers from the US. It was when one of these was visiting he heard the shop referred to by a name that stuck in his mind for a long time and, albeit subconsciously, in a number of lyrics. The name of the shop he heard? The former Llama Rama with a lamb bamboo :D (tG) |
