Subject: BS: use care with Valet Parking OMG From: olddude Date: 13 Mar 13 - 07:53 PM So my daughter took some of her clients out to dinner. She used the VIP Parking at the high scale Restaurant as required. Well the parking guy left the key box open. When my youngest was done eating, came out and her nice 8 month old BMW hard top/convertible was stolen. Video shows some tattooed Mexican guy walking over to the key box that the valet left open and pulling out her keys. She was devastated. Well this morning the cops got the creep, He had her car and made a drug run. Everything is still in her car including her laptop. The valet company was responsible, she told them they now have to reimburse her for everything including changing all the locks on her apartment, lost work etc. At least she was ok ... just a car. But she works really hard for that car, it is her baby. |

Subject: RE: BS: use care with Valet Parking OMG From: olddude Date: 13 Mar 13 - 08:38 PM what was great is the guy pulled off her registration tag from the license plate to give it to his girl friend. So he was driving around in her car with a plate that read expired 08/12 instead of which it should have been 08/13 Stupid criminals are the best, got himself right in jail with a car full of nose candy also. |

Subject: RE: BS: use care with Valet Parking OMG From: Mrrzy Date: 14 Mar 13 - 01:48 PM Wonder whether the clients think it made her look bad? What kind of a creep steals a car for a drug run but doesn't bother to take the laptop? Also they have to reimburse her for being made to look bad (even if she wasn't, she could have been) - get somebody to put a nice high figure on that too. I have relatives in the insurance biz. |

Subject: RE: BS: use care with Valet Parking OMG From: EBarnacle Date: 15 Mar 13 - 10:22 AM If you value it, park it yourself and pocket the keys. It is not uncommon for cars to be lifted from valet parking. Besides, is some kid going to treat your car as well as you would? |
