Very useful as most valuation sites want an arm and a leg before telling you it's worth a finger. Ignore the Gargoyle. He's just having a break from his usual position in the eaves, pulling ugly faces at passing tourists. Don T. |

Subject: RE: BS: Valuations, Antiques and Collectables UK From: Georgiansilver Date: 28 Feb 13 - 07:59 AM John... Generally people on facebook won't know your address unless they know you personally..... most of the people who ask for a valuation on my site feel safe doing so as no valuations are given on the page.. only by personal message..... not saying it is totally infallible but is generally pretty safe. |

Subject: RE: BS: Valuations, Antiques and Collectables UK From: GUEST Date: 01 Mar 13 - 09:11 PM So who gives the valuations of the 'Old,used,dead-people stuff'? Is this a Georgiansilver enterprise? I saw this FB page a few days ago and was wondering how it worked. |

Subject: RE: BS: Valuations, Antiques and Collectables UK From: Georgiansilver Date: 02 Mar 13 - 04:11 AM Yes... 40+ years of studying antiques/collectables has given me quite a wide knowledge but I don't have all the answers... it's a constant learning curve which I have relished over the years. I am using that knowledge to give valuations free of charge... unlike the so called 'experts' who charge for their valuations. If I don't know the value of something then I can usually put the person in touch with someone who does. |
