Subject: George Papavgeris - Thieves Of Innocence From: George Papavgeris Date: 26 Dec 12 - 06:40 AM Originally written in 2003 after watching a harrowing BBC documentary on the child soldiers of the Congo, I shelved it as "too dark for folk clubs" until Joe Dolce rightly shamed me into picking it up again. Ten years on, I find it is if anything even more relevant today than it was then.. I can't say that it is the song I am most proud of, "proud" would be inappropriate in this case; perhaps the correct expression is "the song I am most grateful that I wrote". Anyway, here is the link… Thieves Of Innocence |

Subject: RE: George Papavgeris - Thieves Of Innocence From: bubblyrat Date: 26 Dec 12 - 09:01 AM Just listened to it ,George , and found it very moving ; I didn't know that Vikki played the "base" (sic) , but otherwise the presentation , the photographs , the way the lyrics were displayed , was very professional. My best wishes for 2013 to all three of you . Roger |
