Subject: RE: Good Intent December From: growler Date: 23 Nov 12 - 03:22 PM Karen update Having been promised her surgery, before the end of the month, Dal rang to find out what was happening, after holding on the phone for some time, was told that they had found her case notes, but she hadn't been put on the database! The complaint has now gone to 'senior management', I use the term loosely |
Subject: RE: Good Intent December From: ripov Date: 23 Nov 12 - 07:03 PM Thanks for the update Simon, as we're not local we often wonder how things are, but don't like to pester Dal. Best wishes Karen. |

Subject: RE: Good Intent December From: Girl Friday Date: 24 Nov 12 - 08:07 AM I despair. Health Service is definitely not what it was. Can't even get my repeat prescription right after 48 years on the same tablets ! Is wassail finishing at 6 on Saturday? We have promised to look into the Lib Club for a birthday party in the evening. |

Subject: RE: Good Intent December From: VirginiaTam Date: 24 Nov 12 - 08:37 AM If there is nothing going on in the evening, there really is no point in booking B&B. |
Subject: RE: Good Intent December From: growler Date: 24 Nov 12 - 12:28 PM Can't be specific, as there is no official finishing time, but it normally peters out mid-evening |
Subject: RE: Good Intent December From: Girl Friday Date: 25 Nov 12 - 09:19 AM Thanks Simon... we'll play leaving time by ear then. |
Subject: RE: Good Intent December From: growler Date: 27 Nov 12 - 03:25 PM Update on Karen. She has been told that she will go in for her op, on 14th Dec. If this happens, she should be well enough to have Christmas lunch with her family. I will give her the money collected, to buy herself a 'get well' prezie. Thanks to all who gave |

Subject: RE: Good Intent December From: Richard Bridge Date: 06 Dec 12 - 09:03 AM Ah, alas, I have to wait for the gasman who might arrive any time between noon and 6pm that day... |

Subject: RE: Good Intent December From: growler Date: 06 Dec 12 - 01:49 PM Richard, I know a song about that |
Subject: RE: Good Intent December From: Richard Bridge Date: 06 Dec 12 - 03:10 PM Well Sue, if you take it there I will try to attend after the gasman has left and if I have not materialised by 5 or 6 you might be able to loop out to the peninsular on the way home? |
Subject: RE: Good Intent December From: Don(Wyziwyg)T Date: 07 Dec 12 - 05:15 AM I think the lurgy has finally caught up with me. Voice went completely in mid song last night, and I'm mainlining ice cream this morning. I'm afraid it's unlikely I'll be there, but have a great day John. Don T. |
Subject: RE: Good Intent December From: Girl Friday Date: 07 Dec 12 - 12:43 PM We had a relapse today as well. So looking unlikely that we get there tomorrow. We are even taking tonight off. Sorry to hear it has got you Donald. Should we feel like a ride out we just might drop into Bridge Towers, but really don't want to risk spreading anything. |
Subject: RE: Good Intent December From: The Barden of England Date: 08 Dec 12 - 07:32 AM I caught the Norovirus last day of our holiday, so spent Wednesday night and Thursday morning being violently ill. By the time of our flight back I was able to just drink water and hold everything in, but am feeling much better now, Jan however started being sick last night and is not looking a very happy bunny at this moment, so we will have to cry off - we don't want to infect everybody else as it's not at all nice. Have a lovely day John. John Barden |

Subject: RE: Good Intent December From: Richard Bridge Date: 08 Dec 12 - 02:18 PM Obviously being trustees of Bridge property is bad for the health... |

Subject: RE: Good Intent December From: growler Date: 08 Dec 12 - 03:03 PM Sorry your not well John On another note, just to remind everyone that the GI is always closed on New Years Day, the first Tuesday, plus we are not having a concert night on the 8th, as for the last three years, nobody has turned up, ( ask Richard ). The folk club will re-convene on 15th Jan. Don't forget Bob Kenward and Cappella on Tuesday 11th Dec Simon |
Subject: RE: Good Intent December From: Girl Friday Date: 10 Dec 12 - 08:06 AM Feeling a bit better today, but still very snotty - both of us. Sorry to hear about your Novovirus John and Jan. Hope you both feel better by Christmas, and we will all meet on 22nd. Just seen the Stanstead Abbots thread. This is a good way to spend New Year's Day.http://www.mudcat.org/thread.cfm?threadid=148551&messages=5 |
