Subject: New monthly folk club in Tooting From: GUEST,matt milton Date: 01 Nov 12 - 09:22 AM http://www.facebook.com/events/537317866283482/ This is a new Saturday monthly folk club at The Selkirk in Tooting. (A pub which many of you might know, as it's where Wizz Jones was basically resident guitarist with a regular gig.) Anyway, floorspots are apparently welcome. And the opening night is this Saturday and features The Kilkawley Family, a young brother-and-sister duo from Newcastle (I think?) who play Carter Family style traditional American material on guitar, autoharp and harmonica. Well worth a listen. |
