Subject: Terrorist attack on Federal reserve From: Richard Bridge Date: 18 Oct 12 - 09:51 AM Now that a would be terrorist from Pakistan has tried to blow up the Federal Reserve, what will the Tea Potty think? They hate foreign terrorists, particularly brown or Muslim ones, But they also hate the Fed. So are they for or against someone blowing it up? |

Subject: RE: Terrorist attack on Federal reserve From: John on the Sunset Coast Date: 18 Oct 12 - 10:04 AM Nice try, Mr. Bridge, but an argument based on a false premise. I know many tea party folk, and they don't want to blow up anything, nor even do anything physically violent, unlike many of the so-called Occupy groups. As to hating foreign terrorists--or for that matter any terrorists---that is a bad thing? Hmmm. |

Subject: RE: Terrorist attack on Federal reserve From: meself Date: 18 Oct 12 - 11:13 AM FWIW, here's post I just read on a Yahoo news forum: If his target was the Federal Reserve, his face should be included with our other heroes on Mount Rushmore. The Federal Reserve is America's Death Star, and this young hero seems to "get it". I say we raise money for defense!! THE CAVALRY IS COMING! |

Subject: RE: Terrorist attack on Federal reserve From: Jack the Sailor Date: 18 Oct 12 - 11:19 AM There are a lot of nutty opinions about The Fed out there. Concepts of good vs "Evil" are often evoked. It could be a point of convergence for Tea Party and Taliban. |

Subject: RE: Terrorist attack on Federal reserve From: Bee-dubya-ell Date: 18 Oct 12 - 11:42 AM Whether the target of a foreign terrorist attack is something with which radical right-wingers have disagreements has already been proven to be irrelevant. Most people on the far right are opposed to globalism, but the World Trade Center buildings were testaments to globalism. You certainly didn't see any right-wing militia types whooping it up in the streets because a bunch of jihadis had destroyed symbols of an idea to which they objected. |

Subject: RE: Terrorist attack on Federal reserve From: Greg F. Date: 18 Oct 12 - 12:34 PM I know many tea party folk, and they don't want to blow up anything, Not even Planned Parenthood clinics and physicians that perform abortions? |

Subject: RE: Terrorist attack on Federal reserve From: Jack the Sailor Date: 18 Oct 12 - 03:29 PM I guess the lesson is if someone says to you "lets build a bomb and blow something up. You take this cell phone and detonate it while I hold the camera." Maybe one ought to consider that the people one is working with might be filming you and recording you for a trial. |

Subject: RE: Terrorist attack on Federal reserve From: Little Hawk Date: 18 Oct 12 - 06:48 PM I can readily understand someone wanting to attack the Federal Reserve, but I think it would be better done with legislation, not with a bomb. |
