I'm coming over to San Francisco (with my husband Steve) and then on down to Santa Cruz from 15 - 25 October. This is as a visitor, not to sing and play, as the trip wouldn't have justified the expense of a performing visa and I was warned that without one it'd be too risky even to do a quiet house concert. Fair warning or not, it's probably quite good for me to have a proper holiday for once! We're staying in a hotel in the city for the first four nights and taking a movie sights tour one morning. We're then picking up a rental car, heading over to Berkeley for a couple of nights and then driving down to Santa Cruz. Planning to link up with a number of friends (Danny Carnahan, Lisa Ekstrom, Mary McLaughlin, Aileen Vance, Robin Petrie) but if any 'Catters fancy meeting for a coffee or know of any good music we shouldn't miss this is your chance to drop me a pm and make me a suggestion! Not sure how much internet access we'll have while we're there, but in response to pm messages I'll let you know where we'll be when for you to make contact with us - although if you feel secure enough to pm or email me a phone number so much the better. Looking forward to it immensely now it's almost here! |

And a nice sized downstairs room for a sing-thing, and you could have your own apartment suite (now with REFRIGERATOR!). And there are honest-to-God descendants of WELSH folks just down the road! |

We'd have loved to make it a longer, wider and more interesting visit but had to make some tough decisions along the way. I'll be looking further into that old visa question to see if it might be possible to do another musical tour before too long, and then I'll be asking all sorts of people to help! |
