If you're a fan of the West Wing, here's four minutes of bliss. Best line: hearing Martin Sheen say "Apocalypse, now?"

Quote.."wow!" unquote...I hope that gets wide distribution ...even outside Michigan, because there are issues that apply everywhere.

Gee, I miss that program. How did they get all those people back together?

There were only 5-6.... didn't need the 20 most prominent.

Aah, the West Wing. Star Trek in the White House...

I never saw it live, picked up a complete Box Set at a Church fete, and had a great time going trough all seven seasons. I look forward to doing it again some time - and that clip has sharpened my appetite to do that.

The interesting thing is, it would be completeely impossibe to have anything equivalent with us here - cynicism about politicians is built deep into us, so the reverential attitude towards the person in charge would be absolutely impossible.   It made it rather fun to suspend that for a spell.

Star Trek in the White House? Unusual description, Kevin, but apt.

I like Star Trek, too. Maybe I just have a liking for dead TV shows....

Dead hyperoptimistic, "the world (galaxy) as it should be" programs?

Wow! I agree that Bridget Mary McCormacks is hot! She's got my non-partisan vote.

Oh, I forgot. I left Michigan in 1982...

Among the ones NOT appearing:

Leo (well, of course, since actor John Spencer has died)
Abby
Jed and Abby's two daughters (Elizabeth Moss is pretty busy on Mad Men these days)
Sam
The Edward James Olmos character whose name I've forgotten

Point of geekishness: three daughters. Elizabeth, Ellie & Zoey

I wish there was something on TV now that was half as good.

No, there's nothing left on TV, absolutely nothing, unless you enjoy Pickers and Pawnshops.
