Subject: BS: The best time to go to.... From: gnu Date: 13 Sep 12 - 06:23 PM ... Canadian Tire is 11:30AM on a Thursday. And, if the weekly items on sale until closing on Thursday are not available? Rain check. Yer welcome. What time do you go to the bakery? the butcher's? the candlestick maker's? the bank? |

Subject: RE: BS: The best time to go to.... From: Janie Date: 13 Sep 12 - 07:18 PM The bank? Mid-morning, middle of the week, never on a Friday afternoon, and not on the 1st, 3rd 15th/16th or last day of the month. Hard to get away from work mid-morning, though. Local farmer's market? Crack of dawn on Saturday morning. (Which is why I hardly ever make it.) North Carolina beaches? April to mid-May and September to mid October. |

Subject: RE: BS: The best time to go to.... From: Rapparee Date: 14 Sep 12 - 09:44 AM the bathroom is when you gotta go. Otherwise you just sort of hang around, waiting for things to happen, checking out the toilet paper, stuff like that. And people look at you funny. |

Subject: RE: BS: The best time to go to.... From: gnu Date: 14 Sep 12 - 01:40 PM ... Canadian Tire when they have the Scratch & Win cards is NOT at 11:30AM. I got a free McCains Deep & Delicious frozen cake coupon but it took me 15 minutes at the checkout and I don't eat cake. Now, had I won the $5000 it woulda been different. And, I WAS lucky I didn't win the $5 off on accounta I bought 4 jugs of bleach at 80p each so I wouldn't have gotten anything but a good deal on bleach. Sooooo, I'll be there tomorrow when the doors open because the best time to go to steal the Scratch & Win card out of my neighbour's advertising flyers is 6AM and I am an early bird. Yes, it is pointless and boring drivel but don't feel like doing anything constructive right now. |

Subject: RE: BS: The best time to go to.... From: GUEST,Eliza Date: 14 Sep 12 - 06:37 PM 'Prostates checked While-U-Wait, or 'Leave it with us and come back later.' (I swear there was a sign in Norwich shop which said 'Ears pierced while-U-wait'!) We once went to an all-night Tesco's supermarket at 1am, thinking it would be quiet and we could get my poor husband some stuff for his hayfever. It was going like a fair, and the aisles were chokka with shelf-filling carts loaded to the gunnels. They had loud music blaring out (perhaps to keep the poor nightworkers awake) Never again! |

Subject: RE: BS: The best time to go to.... From: gnu Date: 14 Sep 12 - 07:20 PM Eliza... when I am prostrate, I like to sleep... if my prostate doesn't bother my dick. Minds me, many years ago, as a young man, it was my dick that kept me awake too but my prostate had nothing to do with that... depending on the young lady, of course. Back then, the fingernail thing never occured to me either. Thanks goodness! |

Subject: RE: BS: The best time to go to.... From: Rapparee Date: 14 Sep 12 - 08:51 PM I had that problem too, but worse. Whenever I'd roll over I'd pole vault out of bed and one night got my head stuck in the ceiling. Embarrassing, let me tell you! |

Subject: RE: BS: The best time to go to.... From: gnu Date: 15 Sep 12 - 02:18 PM I arrived at Chinese Tire just as the doors opened. I went directly to the 80p per stuff, grabbed one and was the first customer at the checkouts. Scored another cake. And was chatted up by TWO of the lasses at the checkouts. Not the one who took my $ (in her twenties) but by two 40-odd year olds. I assume they were after my cake. 8AM Monday, I hit the Walmart for swipe. 48 roll packages for $8.97. Been buying Royale... the swipe that's like swiping with fluffy kittens but this swipe is "Ultra Strong" Charmin and I AM a gnu. I mean, if cute and fuzzy bears use Charmin, it's good enough fer me. |
