Subject: BS: The Last Nail: the P-Vine's Garden House From: Bobert Date: 06 Sep 12 - 09:03 PM There's always that good feeling when the last nail is driven... Today, was one of those days for me... I began building the P-Vine's Garden House some 6 months ago with hand digging footers... Today, I drove the last trim nail... It is now completely stick built, wired with fans, lights, heat and ready for caulk and paint... Whew... Glad to have this one in the rear view mirror... It has been a slobber knocker... B~ |

Subject: RE: BS: The Last Nail: the P-Vine's Garden House From: Bobert Date: 07 Sep 12 - 05:55 PM Yeah, I always quit at 5 but my Bostich nailer hung up on me and took me an hour to take it apart and get it fixed so at 5 I had another 15 minutes of trim to run so I got a little over time... BTW, Amos, when yer retired you don't get paid for over time... You don't get paid for nuthin'... Enjoy... lol... B:~) |

Subject: RE: BS: The Last Nail: the P-Vine's Garden House From: Stilly River Sage Date: 08 Sep 12 - 06:08 PM I don't suppose you've started using a digital camera yet, have you? I was just poking around the old Google Groups site where we had some of our garden photos. You have an entire new set of photos to put up (though that site seems to be defunct for the most part). Subject: RE: BS: The Last Nail: the P-Vine's Garden House From: gnu Date: 10 Sep 12 - 07:17 PM Caulk? Good lord man! Get to it! It's the MOST important part of the job! One more exclamation point! |

Subject: RE: BS: The Last Nail: the P-Vine's Garden House From: Bobert Date: 10 Sep 12 - 07:41 PM Maybe tomorrow, Gn-ze... Maybe tomorrow... I gotta mow first... Oh, and then spray the weed control around the pond... And move food from one freezer to another because I defrosted one today... And change oil in the P-Vine's Honda... But maybe tomorrow... B;~( |
|
Subject: RE: BS: The Last Nail: the P-Vine's Garden House From: gnu Date: 10 Sep 12 - 08:41 PM I'd mow but I like the little yellaw flowers... thay ain't no weeds... them's purdy... them's decORative, they be. Take care of yer cailk first thing after daylight. Yer caulk is the biggest job you have to take care of. Spraying weed contol? Changing oil? Those can wait a few hours. Use those hours to take care of yer caulking! |
