Subject: Stone Soup Sampler Day, RI 9/22/12 From: ChanteyLass Date: 26 Aug 12 - 07:15 PM This is something new for Stone Soup! Instead of an outdoor festival event, this will be indoors, so weather won't be a factor. And it will still be FREE! The site is Stone Soup's regular venue, St. Paul's Episcopal Church. 50 Park Place, Pawtucket, RI. The music will start at 2 PM and should end around 6 PM. Boxcar Lilies and Debra Cowan will still perform, but Sarah Lee Guthrie and Johnny Irion had to bow out. I imagine that is because of her mother Jackie being seriously ill, as mentioned in another Mudcat thread. I don't know when Sarah Lee let the people at SS know they couldn't come, but I guess there was some scrambling for replacements, and they are good ones: Lori Diamond & Fred Abatelli, and Natalia Zukerman. It will still be a wonderful afternoon at Stone Soup, and I am sure everyone there, like me, sends their love to the Guthrie family. |
