Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Ya, Sure, You Betcha From: Joe Offer Date: 19 May 12 - 07:56 AM Well, it's for sale on eBay. The 1947 sheet music has it titled Ya, Sure - You Betcha (Ay Ban Tank I Do), written by Sandy Oliver, Paul Herrick, and Sid Solomon; and recorded by Dennis Day. I thought I'd heard a reissued recording of this on a Dennis Day or Jo Stafford collection, but I couldn't find a listing for it on Amazon. -Joe- |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Ya, Sure, You Betcha From: Iona Date: 19 May 12 - 12:54 PM I've got a recording of it, but I can't make out a lot of the words. I believe there's an LP or something like that up on Ebay or Amazon, but I didn't really pay attention, since I already have the song. *looks thoughtful* If someone wants to hear it, go here: http://ia700408.us.archive.org/26/items/otr_dennisday/ADayInTheLifeOfDennisDay-471015-TheDressShop.mp3 It's the first song, I think. These old Dennis Day programs had two songs per episode--one before the program, and one during. |
