Remember the Suffolk song Peter Bellamy used to sing ~~ "Because I come from Bunga' Town, They call I Bunga' Roger. They asked me o'er and o'er again If I'd go for a sojer"?
And did you see the report morning of the foootie match in the town yesterday where every player was called Bungay, + the referee, John Bungay, the 8-yr-old mascot, Carla Bungay, and the team medico, Dr Elizabeth Bungay? Bungays had gathered from all over the world ~~ S Carolina & Australia were mentioned in the Times report ~ to take part. Man of the Match was Bungay (Kieran). "The commentator," The Times reported po-faced. "had an easy time."
I just wonder if there was a Bungay, Roger, among them? Any Catter who was there, or has any such vital info?
