He started with a breathtaking version of When the Boys are on Parade. Though the pace of the songs which followed varied - from the West Coast of Clare to the Plains of Kildare - the passion remained constant throughout. Kendal follows on Friday 11 May. Don't miss him! This tour leads up to his 70th birthday party, which he is celebrating on Saturday 16 June at Vicar Street in Dublin. That night has sold out, so the next has been added too, Sunday 17 June. A host of stars will be performing there; Sweeney's Men, Mozaik, Andy and Paul Brady, and LAPD - Liam O'Flynn, Andy, Paddy Glackin and Donal Lunny. Many happy returns, Andy! |
