Subject: RE: BS: Dachshunds at Christmas From: GUEST,Eliza Date: 30 Dec 11 - 01:12 PM They look a bit...well...tubby to me, LH. I know I can't talk, but I though dachshunds were slim and slinky. (It's donkey's years since I was slim and slinky!) |

Subject: RE: BS: Dachshunds at Christmas From: Little Hawk Date: 30 Dec 11 - 01:15 PM We used to imagine ours roasted up like a suckling pig with a small apple in his mouth, Jack. A crabapple maybe. We'd discuss it and test his fat little haunches with a thumb and 2 fingers, saying, "Almost ready now...", while he'd roll his eyes nervously. |

Subject: RE: BS: Dachshunds at Christmas From: Ed T Date: 30 Dec 11 - 04:07 PM Dachshund Rules: Humans live to serve me. I can do whatever I want to do, whenever I want to do it. If I touch it, lick it, chew it, shred it, smell it, or see it, it's mine. (The first two sounds like Mudcat posting rules:) Dachshunds "R U |

Subject: RE: BS: Dachshunds at Christmas From: LadyJean Date: 31 Dec 11 - 01:13 AM The tale is told of the day mom's dachshund, apropriately named Loki, took the cover off grandma's ironing board. Loki was something of a legend. He made sure that mom's boyfriend, the father of historian David McCullough behaved himself. One of the sights of the neighborhood was grandaddy arguing with Loki about which way they would go on their walk. Grandaddy successfully argued a case in front of the Supreme Court of the United States, but he couldn't persuade Loki to go his way. Then Loki would get tired and granddaddy would have to carry him home. |
Subject: RE: BS: Dachshunds at Christmas From: Little Hawk Date: 31 Dec 11 - 03:28 PM Loki is probably the perfect name for a male Dachshund. They are very strong-willed, and have a zesty appetite for causing mischief. |
