Subject: BS: Christmas Poem / Wish From: Silas Date: 22 Dec 11 - 01:56 AM Just tell me what you would say If Thatcher died on Christmas Day And helped us with our Christmas cheer Bringing peace for those that lived in fear Of evil politics and greed ... And ignorance of those in need Oh go on Maggie, do it, do it now Yes, do it now you nasty cow Let us rejoice the witch is dead And we sleep soundly in our beds Never again the like we'll see A Thatcher's Britain no more for me. |
Subject: RE: BS: Christmas From: Arthur_itus Date: 22 Dec 11 - 02:11 AM Bit nasty me thinks. May you also enjoy your Christmas Silas. I am not a Thatcher fan, by the way. Just don't like what you have posted. |
Subject: RE: BS: Christmas From: Silas Date: 22 Dec 11 - 02:13 AM Not everyones taste I agree. |
Subject: RE: BS: Christmas From: GUEST,Bluesman Date: 22 Dec 11 - 02:42 AM Either are you siliass |
Subject: RE: BS: Christmas From: Silas Date: 22 Dec 11 - 02:44 AM Neither are you, Silas? |
Subject: RE: BS: Christmas From: Jack the Sailor Date: 22 Dec 11 - 03:52 AM A lot of people die at Christmas time. it saddens me. I would rather wish good health and cheer to those I care for than death to those I despise. |
Subject: RE: BS: Christmas From: Silas Date: 22 Dec 11 - 04:37 AM Hi Michael, can I wish you and yours a very merry Christmas. |
Subject: RE: BS: Christmas From: Nigel Parsons Date: 22 Dec 11 - 05:15 AM I don't normally agree with censorship of members posts. In this case I would be prepared to make an exception. There again; Let it stand. It is an object lesson which can be linked to whenever Silas's motives for posting are in question. Wishing the death of another at Christmas? (when even the guns fell silent). Herod would be proud of you! |
Subject: RE: BS: Christmas From: Silas Date: 22 Dec 11 - 05:24 AM I really don't see your problem with this, particularly after the way some mudcatters were rejocing the deaths of Saddam Hussein, Bin Laden, Ghaddafi etc. |
Subject: RE: BS: Christmas From: Richard Bridge Date: 22 Dec 11 - 06:09 AM Well said Silas. Apart from the fact that she would need to suffer much longer to equal the total of the suffering that she caused in and for others. I don't normally approve of vengeance for its own sake, but for her I'll make an exception. Unfortunately we are headed pell mell for a Britain as bad as that evil bitch's or worse. |
Subject: RE: BS: Christmas From: Jack the Sailor Date: 22 Dec 11 - 08:28 AM You don't see any difference between a current dictator and an elerly woman more than 20 years out of office? |
Subject: RE: BS: Christmas From: Silas Date: 22 Dec 11 - 08:42 AM The 'elderly woman's ' legacy is still being felt even now. I make absoloutly no apologies for this poem, you can take it or leave it, that is your choice, but I will say this; the vitriol that has been expressed about it up to now is but a fraction of the collective hatred that this woman has caused through her years in power. |
Subject: RE: BS: Christmas From: Bonzo3legs Date: 22 Dec 11 - 09:20 AM She is not worth a thousand Cristina Fernández de Kirchners - and that is really saying something! |
Subject: RE: BS: Christmas From: Richard Bridge Date: 22 Dec 11 - 09:48 AM Is there a statute of limitations on tyranny, Jack? What is your view of the IRA's killing of Mountbatten? Kirchner seems to have many merits. She is a notable advocate for human rights, poverty awareness and health improvement - the exact opposite of Thatcher. I am however concerned at the current efforts by latin-american countries, led by Argentina, to mount a partial blockade of the Falklands. In that context let me say that Thatcher, while saving the Falklands from annexation, pretty well talked it up into an undeclared war (apparently to seek electoral advantage) and that the sinking of the Belgrano while it was outside the "exclusion zone", sailing away from the Falklands and while we were not at war, looks a lot more like murder than propriety. |
