Subject: The music-talk in Close Encounters OT3K From: Mrrzy Date: 07 Nov 11 - 11:24 PM Just saw it again, for only the second time, the first being when it first came out. Remember when the scientists are trying to talk to the UFOs with a piano? There is one guy playing, one guy muttering things like Up one major fifth, and a third guy muttering things like Mi cubed or something. The up and down a major fifth part I get. Can someone 'splain the do-re-mi to the power of who again part? Thanks, y'all! I looked through the Close Encounters threads but didn't see anything relevant enough to link, but there are several threads with Close Encounters in the title or subject matter, FYI. |
