A couple of years ago I inherited a Fender Twin Reverb silverface amp, vintage 1969 I think. I'm looking to sell it and was wondering about value - I've been told that £900 would be around the right price. I know nothing at all about amps so any help would be grafefully received.

I think that might be a LOT too low. Keep it warm and dry, play it every Sunday to keep the capacitors happy, get the valves biassed every 5 years and make your children happy with a VERY pricey asset when you die!

Here's a re-issue only a couple of years old for £800 - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-65-Twin-Reverb-Vintage-Re-Issue-Amp-/150691812950?pt=UK_MusicalInstr_Amplifiers_RL&hash=item2315ee9656#ht_500wt_1202

On the other hand here's an "Evil Twin" for only £375!

Thanks Richard, that's reassuring. As for passing it on to my children, no chance - I feel a new guitar coming on and they can fight over the Dickens first editions.
