The Source café/bar at Nelson Street, Denton Holme, Carlisle sometimes has open mic events 01228 595535 There's also a session at Armathwaite, I think on Tuesdays, once a month - but not sure when. Try phoning 01768 863327 - Richard or Sally Hardaker, who I know go to these. Someone just told me sessions have started at the Spinners Arms, in the village of Cummersdale - literally JUST out of the city (past Pirelli factory) … but again don't know any details.
