Subject: BS: Politics and Lent. From: Peace Date: 31 Mar 08 - 10:14 PM There is a plethora of threads to do with politics. I started this thread because there was no other thread available on which I could use the word 'plethora', the meaning of which escapes me and will until after Lent is finished. I hope you did not have heightened expectations when you opened this thread. BTW, if anyone wants to change the thread title to make the meaning clear, that's OK with me. I should say on my own behalf that I considered entitling the thread "I would sooner pee on an electric fence than spend my life as a goldfish or Amazon mermaid" but it wouldn't fit in the thread title box. Anyway, may your plethora stay healthy. |

Subject: RE: BS: Politics and Lent. From: Jeri Date: 31 Mar 08 - 10:29 PM I'm offended. I don't have a plethora, I have a myriad. So this is a holiday when people bring back all the things they've borrowed? |

Subject: RE: BS: Politics and Lent. From: GUEST,Jack the Sailor Date: 31 Mar 08 - 11:07 PM Sorry Peace. I had no place to put this and I didn't want to start another thread. Carol's dad sent us some great pictures of space walking astronauts. My problem is, since that crazy woman, I can't look at astronauts without thinking about space diapers. |

Subject: RE: BS: Politics and Lent. From: catspaw49 Date: 01 Apr 08 - 01:04 AM Sorry Peace, but when speaking of the political threads around this joint I think "Shitload" is far more appropriate than "Plethora."............even if it was Lent...........and I know I didn't loan nobody jackshit. Subject: RE: BS: Politics and Lent. From: Rapparee Date: 01 Apr 08 - 08:50 AM So that explains the jackshit you "lent" Taft during his last governatorial campaign. |

Subject: RE: BS: Politics and Lent. From: Rapparee Date: 01 Apr 08 - 09:09 AM I have just Figured It Out. The US borrowed money. That means money has been lent to it. Peace has been talking about Lent. The conclusion is obvious: Peace lent the money that the US has borrowed. Quod erat demonstratum! |
