Subject: Burl at Maidenhead Folk Club Thursday! From: The Admiral Date: 19 Feb 08 - 05:33 AM Just to let you all know that MFC is very proud to announce a very rare appearance for that Master Performer and Raconteur, Roy Harris on Thursday 21st February at our usual venue. Webpage: Maidenhead Folk Club . This man was there at the revival, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Bert Lloyd and Ewan McColl and has a huge knowledge of the music and the movement and puts it over in a way that leaves you wondering where the time went at the end of the evening.... An evening not to be missed - all are welcome to come, listen, learn and enjoy! Tony |

Subject: RE: Burl at Maidenhead Folk Club Thursday! From: Herga Kitty Date: 20 Feb 08 - 05:51 PM Dave - some of Maidenhead FC were at the recording of "Live at the Lion" (at the White Lion, Wherwell, home of Wildgoose - it was Doug Bailey doing the recording), and singing along in the choruses (as was I). I don't think I'll be able to get to Knowl Hill tomorrow, but it will be a great night! Kitty |
