Subject: BS: A USA c.6thCen.BCE Israelite Tabernacle! From: GUEST,www.gdrocks.org Date: 26 Mar 08 - 07:15 AM This is amazing(!), the Oldest 10 Commandments (in the original Old Hebrew!), Only place where the sacred name (on an Altars dedication!) has been found on Earth, and first place of worship (to the God of the Bible!) in the Americas, is having been found amid the US in NM! http://gdrocks.org

Subject: RE: BS: A USA c.6thCen.BCE Israelite Tabernacle! From: GUEST,PMB Date: 26 Mar 08 - 08:18 AM Even more remarkable... the inscriptions include John and Mar(y). The Mother and Brother of Jesus no doubt. Or perhaps Mary Magdalene crossed the Atlantic after visiting Rosslyn chapel. And the kind folks there will sell you stones with Hebrew and other inscriptions on them. It's sad that all these Hebrew, Egyptian, Jewish, Welsh, Irish, and Viking visitors (I've probably missed a few out) to the USA suddenly evaporated just before Columbus arrived. |

Subject: RE: BS: A USA c.6thCen.BCE Israelite Tabernacle! From: Grab Date: 26 Mar 08 - 08:36 AM It's amazing what people will do with their time when they're bored. Some folks whittle, some folks play music, some folks fake up archaeological items... The Mormons are about as keen as it gets when it comes to religious stuff, and have to be seriously open to out-there ideas with what their holy books say. For all that, they're not stupid though. So if *they* reckon it's a fake, I'd say that's confirmation. Graham. |

Subject: RE: BS: A USA c.6thCen.BCE Israelite Tabernacle! From: GUEST,Chicken Charlie Date: 07 Apr 08 - 12:20 PM Since the Bible was faked together by a bunch of monks in the Dark Ages, there can't possibly have been Israelites anywhere in the world to build a tabernacle in the 6th cent. There wouldn't have been blueprints. And if the LDS are so damn smart, how come they ended up in Utah and didn't buy Malibu beachfront property when it was cheap. Subject: RE: BS: A USA c.6thCen.BCE Israelite Tabernacle! From: artbrooks Date: 07 Apr 08 - 12:30 PM Oh, I guess that would depend on your definition of spam. There are a lot of people on the religious fringe (but don't ask me for a number) that make a big deal of places like this. It has been "positively proven" to be evidence of early Phoenician sailors shipwrecked in Texas, Solomon's fleet, early crypto-Jewish settlers in Spanish New Mexico, proto-Mormons and some kids playing silly-buggers back in the 1930s. It probably doesn't have any direct connection to the alien spaceship crash at Roswell - that is more than a hundred miles away - but who knows. It is known to predate Area 51. |

Subject: RE: BS: A USA c.6thCen.BCE Israelite Tabernacle! From: Bill D Date: 07 Apr 08 - 12:47 PM Spam? I have a piece of Spam (only fried on one side!)from 1957 which CLEARLY has an image of Pontius Pilate on it and the Latin words for "agitator meal" (or maybe it's the amount of nitrites...one corner is missing)1. I have kept it frozen, and will donate it to any church which recognizes its authenticity. 1(I took one bite before noting the image) |

Subject: RE: BS: A USA c.6thCen.BCE Israelite Tabernacle! From: John on the Sunset Coast Date: 07 Apr 08 - 12:50 PM artbrooks, I don't know your definition of 'early cryto-Jewish settlers,' but they do date at least to the beginning of the 17th century, perhaps slightly earlier. To the best of my knowledge, Jews do not have a tradition of that religion being in the New World before the age of exploration. |

Subject: RE: BS: A USA c.6thCen.BCE Israelite Tabernacle! From: Peace Date: 07 Apr 08 - 01:40 PM IMO, a better marketing procedure for that would be as pet rocks and each rock would be accmpanied by written attestations that the writing/inscriptions simply appeared one day. |

But why go to the trouble of mounting an expedition when you can just retrieve the stuff by telekinesis? With gas at $3/gallon, that seems a much better way to go. You all do realize, of course, that if you unscramble the letters in "Pontius Pilate" according to the system used in the 'Bible Code,' they spell OPITILSUTANE, the town next to the one where the ground hog sees its shadow. Subject: RE: BS: A USA c.6th Cen. BCE Israelite Tabernacle! From: artbrooks Date: 07 Apr 08 - 05:21 PM John on the Sunset Coast: one of the theories is that early Spanish settlers (that is what I said, after all) of Jewish ancestry did the inscriptions to commemorate their Jewish roots. |

He takes it to the priest to show him. The priest says,"how do you know this represents Jesus?" "Because it looks like him," said the man. "But how do you know what Jesus looks like?" said the priest. "Because it looks like him in his picture." "And which picture is that?" He lifts up the bread,"this picture." Oh, it sounded funny when someone said it in the pub last night. Keep taking the tablets. |
