I like JS Bach, therefore JS Bach was a Folk Singer! Hey, I think I'm getting the hang of this now!

Hang about though. JS Bach wasn't a singer ...? Still, never mind, 'singer' is just a label and we don't like those ... do we ...?

J S Bach wasn't a singer

Yes he was. Must have been. He started off as a choral scholar in Lüneburg.
And the St Matthew Passion, the B min Mass, the Art of Fugue and the Toccata & Fugue in D min all rock.

I thought he was great when he was with the Lovin' Spoonful.

Well most of his chorale preludes were reworking of things that were all ready sung (trad arr JSB)

OK. The joke got old with the third copycat thread. This thread is closed. Any new ones after this will be deleted. If you really feel called to post on this subject, (click here) to post to a generic catch-all thread.
