I once proposed a Spell-checker name game and was ridiculed for my effort, but a few people did like it.

And this one is amusing enough as well as being song-related. Why's it down below?

What spellchecker were you using Mo?
I can't get mine to do that.

But I've noticed that, today, every time I type a message in the "Reply to Thread" box, Mudcat seems to be wielding a spellchecker of its own, underlining with red (like Word) words that it regards as unusual. "Woollen" scores the red underline, making me think it's an American English spellchecker; fair enough, but it also highlights "Mudcat".

Sigh!

Cheers, Rowan

Scots, whoa hare win Wallace bled,
Scots, wham Bruce has often led,
Welcome eat your gory bed,
Or eat Victoria!

Ye banks and braes so bonnie Goon,
How can ye bloom sea fresh and fair?
How can ye chant, ye little birds,
And I sea weary, flu to care!
Thought's break my heart, thou warbling bird,
That cantons throe the flowering thorn!
Thou minds me no departed joys,
Departed, never to return.

Aft hake I roved by bonnie Goon
To see the rose and woodbine twine;
And ilea bird sang so its lune,
And fondly sea did I so mine;
Pi light some heart I purdah a rose,
Nu sweet upon its thorny tree!
And my fuse lever stole my rose -
But, ah! he left the thorn wig me.

Rowan, you've probably got your browser's spellchecker turned on.

That't the Apostle's Creed rendered into Spellcheck Latin... although the 'et in bunkum' is a bit too close to another thread here for some people's taste....

Interesting that 'ecclesiatum' translates as Macclesfield. Never thought of Macclesfield as being that big a seat of religious learning.

It was the one that checks my emails before I send them, in Outlook.
BTW I think it's cheating to make feed English spellchecker whole chunks of foriegn!
But do carry on, while I go and read the previous thread (sorry, should I have searched?)
And I thought it would annoy the serious singers if it went up above and they would ask to send it down here - move it if you want.

Jim, why was your thread closed? It seems a lot more fun than a lot of the threads that slide into endless namecalling.
Jim's spellchecker name game thread was closed simply because it was an old BS thread, and we close old BS threads routinely because we've had a problem of multiple refreshes of large numbers of BS threads on related topics (like Shatner). If you'd like to have an old thread reopened, just ask me. Unless it was closed because of contentiousness, I'll usually be glad to reopen it.

From: GUEST,PMB

Here's the works, Herr Froehlich:

You have to raise your glasses to the bellman
Hound Dog and bid farewell to the old,
It's time for a lot of the height of the golden age
He said, we see her run.

Chorus

In his speech, using all of you to know
And they are finding it quite difficult for his kind
And he's gone where to go good together.

In the very worst of the winter morning
Hail and heavy rain, you can see through attempts
Immediately after the other after gaereulhaetdamyeon
For his nose, but never lie to him.

Why, he could go and chase some fox inning,
And we only wrong actions he is to complete
He died of his age to quit the saddle.

Now his descendants are following their His father,
So there's distinguished and Grand bowler waeyiui
And they own a racist as his father and older
Why do some catching up in Fox land will be placed.

Now some people are using guns to kill a fox
And they say it's much more humane.
Why does not rise again, and Pat
Pat saddles terminated.
Keep this shit out of serious music threads.
It's fine to fool around, but people use our music threads for reference purposes. A message like this can be confusing to somebody who is looking for a song. So, I moved this message and its response to an existing thread on garbled songs.
    Thank you.
