WOW! You AND Gordon Bok! No wonder it's a holiday! And from today, one of the things I remember now.

Happiest of Birthdays! In fact, may "Happy Birthday" always be a "long shelf-life song" for you!

And may the muse never fail you.

We saw Tom and Mike Seeger a couple of years ago at University of California, San Diego. Both looked and sounded great. I expect my grandson's favorite songwriter ("Marvelous Toy," among others) will still be going strong in another 20 years.

He did more for the emerging folk revival than many Brits did.
Good on you Tom and thanks for many memorable songs and I'm sure there's still more to come. There was a time you couldn't go to a British folk club without one of his songs being sang.

Art, I think you'll find the 1931 should be 1937.
Happy Birthday Tom, from New Zealand.

Hard to believe he's 70! In my younger days I sang pretty much every song from his first 7 albums, and though it's rare for me to sing one of them in public these days I still sing them to myself. Thanks for the endless pleasure.

I'm still singing the early Paxton songs as well as some of the newer ones. Happy birthday from Long Island, Tom!   I'm starting to think you were really smart to leave when you did (they've just "non-renewed" my homeowners' insurance in Amagansett due to hurricane risk even though the house is nowhere near the water, and my car is getting old too).   Say hello to Chad (neither of you looks 70), Joe and Mike for me when you see them; my last contact with the Trio was at the Ocean Grove, NJ show two years ago August.

Many happy returns of the day!

                                       'Ray

"Thank you for the honour of your company..!" and for all the songs you have given us over the years. I sing them still and always will.

Happy Birthday to the unassuming giant of singer songwriters.

Alan (whose D-18 you borrowed all those years ago in the depths of the London Troubadour - the guitar and its owner still cherish the memory)
