Anyone recommend a good wireless headset microphone for use in a ceilidh band. Looking online and lots of choice but I dont know how they all differ or what attributes I should be looking for. Want good clear reception with lowest chance for feedback. Any suggestion - will spend up to £500

They have many models - I dont want to buy the best to find it has features I will never use or can't understand - I want something that is basically plug and play, but good quality.

The Sennheiser e300 series is very good - I have one myself. If it's a little expensive, you can save by getting the cheaper receiver (e200 or e100 series), but the transmitter and microphone are the same.

You need to order the headset microphone separately, as the standard kit has a tieclip (lavaliere) mic.

If you can get the Sennheiser UHF kit within your budget, it's brilliant. Never had any trouble with ours and the sound is generally better than a typical stage vocals mic e.g. SM58. UHF is less likely to cause or receive interference with other radio mics in the area (because the majority are still VHF) and anyway the Sennheiser can switch frequencies in case someone else is on your frequency.

Here you go: EW 352 G2 at Digital Village.
That will be the current version of what Mary uses (EW100 G2, apparently no longer available but looks very similar)
