Subject: RE: Bluegrass fest Newquay 14th - 17th Sept From: dj bass Date: 14 Sep 07 - 04:52 AM I saw Cages Bend - headline act over here from Nashville - in a warm-up gig in a pub in Looe last night. They are good, very good. The bass player (who, I have to say as a bass player myself, is outstanding) works as a barrel hoister in the Jack Daniels distillery. Talk about living the life. dj |

Subject: RE: Bluegrass fest Newquay 14th - 17th Sept From: Maxine Date: 17 Sep 07 - 10:07 AM Am back and have had excellent weekend. Cages Bend were certainly very good and yes, the bass player was fantastic, they said he worked at the Jack Daniel's distillery. The lead singer & fiddle player Missy, fell down some steps at the side of the stage and has fractured some ribs - get well soon Missy. My favourite act however, was Four Wheel Drive - http://www.myspace.com/4wdbluegrass - check them out. |

But then she would have had to fight you and Gill for it... no contest. |
