I hate those submarine trips...especially since we were signed up to fly...

interesting...this link

http://sonoracohousing.com:8080/horde/util/go.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.remedyandcrew.com%2Frxcruises%2Ftowboat%2Ftowboat.html&Horde=df46aae0a9ebe3bd2e7be4d3ee667098

with the embedded URL inside the first, is not rendered by the Opera browser, though Firefox interprets it ok....

Sorry, I screwed up the link. I don't know why it DOES work for some people.

Try this.

yes...that one works in Opera....I guess Firefox figures out what is expected and strips all the extraneous symbols out.

I once had a boat that behaved like that - in the bathtub.

It's an oldie but goody. Surfaces every few years.
[Sorry about that. Not really]

This sounds like some of the stories Emma tells about the Admiral's boat trips. The location could be on the Severn, though the boat looks a bit big for the Stratford locks...

It was discussed here back in Feb-Mar 2002: BS: The little tugboat that could. (Pics)

Then in Feb 2005, some people tried to write a song about it: Song Challenge: The Unsinkable Tugboat

Not much gets past us here!

I wrote a song about this one the last time it appeared, Tug Boat Bill, based on Steamboat Bill.

Darn, I hate dredging up old news,

I mean,
I hate to be the one to bring old news back up to the surface,

I mean,
there's nothing more embarrassing than barging in with old news,

I mean,
oops.

Not to worry, Becky - I'm sure it's not old news to ALL of us. I hadn't seen it before. The first thread is over 5 years old - a few months before I joined Mudcat, and somehow I missed seeing the Song Challenge one, so I'm enjoying hearing about it and watching it for the FIRST time.

I'm sure John hasn't seen it either - I'll show it to him tonight. He's into boats, so I know he'll like it.
