Just a note to let you folks know that the Bursledon Village Band are celebrating their 30th Birthday on 12th May 2007 at Hamble Memorial Hall near Southampton.

There will be a dance in the evening and musicians workshops in the morning. The workshops are primarily intended for youngsters but youngsters of all ages are welcome.

Hopefully some of the workshop participants will be able to play a few tunes with the band in the evening - big stage so we can handle quite a few.

Tickets for the evening still available. If you know someone who might like to come to the workshop please point them to our web site.

Thanks - Dave

Have a good one - I don't think we'll be able to make it.
I have enjoyed listening to the BVB's tracks on the new Hampshire Dance tunes album based on the Pyle ms. - a lovely sound. We just finished a session tonight here in Cambridgeshire with the "Tom and Jerry" set that's the last track on that CD.

Maybe we'll see you in a session at a festival somewhere, like we did at Whitby in 2005.

Anahata

I did a review on Wild Goose's Hampshire Dance Tunes and the Pyle ms - the BVB's joyful playing just about made my day! Happy birthday.
