For the information of South Yorkshire folkies, or anyone who's in the area next week, Tom and Barbara Brown will be appearing at Kiveton Park Folk Club on Tuesday 3rd April. Tom and Barbara sing mainly traditional songs, many about the life and times of their adopted West Country home. Two great voices in harmony, assisted by Tom's accompaniment on concertina and melodeon should make for a lovely evening. Get yer gobs limbered up cos there'll be a chorus or two. Free tea and coffee for the non-imbibers, a cheap bar for the boozers, grub in the break and as friendly a crowd as you'll find anywhere. Can't be bad!! Come along for an earful. All welcome. £4 entrance on door.

Regards

Andy

Just picked up this thread after a few days off the 'Cat. I would recommend anyone to see Tom and Barbara. Good singing, stage presence, humour and plenty of participative songs. Nice friendly club too, give it a try!

Jim

I recommend this too. I've known the singers and the club for many years and they are both top-notch. Go see 'em. Tonight! Burl.

I saw Tom and Barbara Brown twice while I was in London - and I recommend them too (this is from a transponder!)

"I saw Tom and Barbara Brown twice while I was in London - and I recommend them too (this is from a transponder!)"
Good for you!
Its good to see you coming out!
SO what is a transponder and does it effect your sexuality or just your dress?
What problems do trans ponders face in day to day life?
You see you may have a lot more freinds than you think
We want to understand and to bring transponders into the mainstream of society.
Our culture would be all the richer for that.
(OK, Am sorry,is very late and every one else asleep)

Too late now - we've done it! But go to the club anyway - it's a real good one.
Tom
