Subject: Lyr Req: Buena Vista Social Club Sheffield From: ThreeSheds Date: 12 Mar 07 - 04:39 PM No doubt most of Sheffield wil be salsaing their way down to the city hall this Thursday night,Mrs Shed has been given a free ticket to the do, she hasnt a clue about getting round Sheffield.Has anyone any useful suggestions of where she should park and where to avoid? |

Personally if you get a multi-map and look for Trippett Lane which is sort of parallel to the City Hall and north of it you would find somewhere around there depending how many others have come by car. Avoid the City Centre like the plague. For a beer - the Devonshire Cat is far and away your best and nearest decent boozer - but daft as it sounds I have never been in there in the evening. 6-7 minutes walk. There is an area near there that also might have parking. Dog and Social Worker (Partridge, also on Trippett Lane can be good (Irish pub). Guaranteed music in Fagans on Broad Lane. again 5-8 minutes. Depending precisely where you are coming from another alternative is to park near a tram line. Check the fares (which you may find a bit dear, fares are in Sheffield) it may be best to get a "day rider) The tram stops virtually next to the City Hall. MAke sure you get the correct one back to your car though!! HTH Dave |

And to give you an idea - I came across a bloke trying to drive his car out of the City Centre who had been trying to get out for three days. Being a bloke of course he wouldn't stop to ask someone. |
